During the month of December we host carnival which is colorful and fun. For you sport fanatics we have triathlons and Fishing tournaments, regional athletic games, golf, casinos, horse racing and plenty of night life what we call LIMIN! Our Island is rich with history and Brimstone Hill fortress is one of the finest forts in the Caribbean. Built by the British in 1689 it has changed hands between the French and the English for a number of years. Our churches are also a huge part of our history St. Georges Anglican Church was built by the French in 1670 and was burnt by the British 30 years later then rebuilt in 1704. For you ocean lovers take advantage of our many dive sites where several wrecks are located from as far back as the 1600’s. Plantation homes have been transformed into inns and shopping is a must while on island. |
